Teaching Interests: Language and conversation courses, Hispanic American cultures, and literature, particularly the short story.

Research Interests: I am very much interested in contemporary Hispanic American Literature with emphasis in the short story and cultural studies in the Andean region. Also, I take special interest in the social-political issues in Latin America, as well as in its artistic and historic accomplishments. As a writer of several books in short stories and essays dealing with literary criticism and analysis of narrative works of world literature, I want to continue doing research in these fields.

Travel Experience: I am from Ecuador and I have visited from Canada to Colombia. In Mexico and Central America I have lectured about Latin America Democracies. I have travel extensible through Western Europe in many occasions.
